Term 2 art

Last term for art we did lino prints. My group done buildings.
  • First we had to find a image that was of a building.
  • Second we had to draw with our art pencil on the lino what we wanted.
  • After that we had to get a craving tool and start carving out.
  • Then I had to go to the printing table we paint ink on the lino.
  • Next we had to get a piece of paper why the ink was still wet and place the paper on the top of the lino.
  • After we done that we had to wash all the ink off it.
  • We had to cut more thing out and go back to the printing table.
  • My second colour was green
                   Finally There you have your lino print.

    I think I like the green and yellow print...it's much clearer. They both look great though!

My First Deer

One weekend we got up and went to Rotorua for a day of hunting. So when we got down there my cousin wanted to shoot his first deer so we found a mob of deer and we gave him my dads gun and I had his gun. There were two stags at the bottom of the gully playing in a slip. So he got down there and missed both of the deer and 8 Hinds ran out from the other side of the bush and stopped in another gully I had the 223 it is a small gun but it’s range is only 200 to 220 meters but I shot my deer from 300 meters. Dad was videoing me because he thought that I was going to miss the deer and run away. When I looked through the scoop I  was really nervous so when I got the deer on the cross I pulled the trigger. It was right on dark when we got down to the deer so we could not carry it out because we had to go through a creek then a river then through the trees. When I shot the deer I was so happy that I shoot it. Just seeing it roll down the hill was pretty cool.

What skills, strengths, qualities, powers do you possess that will help you have a really successful camp experience? Strengths. What will you do if you have a problem at camp? Ask the teachers. Who will you speak to? Anybody. What will help you solve your problem? Talking to the teacher. How will you be an effective team member in your car group, activity group and cabin group? I will show respect and be nice to other people. What will we see or hear? I will hear talking in a group and I will see people having fun.

Hunting in Rotorua

On a late afternoon we went down to  Rotorua to go for a hunt. We got to the farm. There was a gully with bush in it. We were sitting down on the grass waiting for a deer or pig to jump out. I thought I could see something white moving in the grass. Dad walked over to see what it was  it was a bit of plastic moving around in the grass.  Dad just unloaded his  gun. Two deer jumped out of the grass dad could nearly touch them. It was pretty cool seeing them jumping over the fence. They ran up the side of the hill. We went to the top of the hill so we could see everything.It was a pretty big hill then we did't know were they went. Just then we herd a branch brake we saw the two deer dad took the shot right where he wanted it to go. It dropped him it was hard to carry it out.It was a big fallow hine. I liked this hunt because I liked finding it in the blackberry bush.
